AMERICAN RACE CARS “RUN FOR THE DRAGSTER” RACE @ RICHMOND PRO-AM AND SPORTS NATIONALS.

How would you like a chance at winning a brand new American Race Cars Patriot Swing-Arm Dragster for only $399? Well IHRA Sportsman racers, here is your chance! There will be a 32 car shootout at Richmond Dragway (targeted to take place Saturday near the conclusion of the Pro-Am) during the Summit Pro-Am and Champion Systems Sports Nationals May 29-31, 2009. You must be entered in the Pro-Am and/or the Sports Nationals to compete in this race, as it is a bonus race for our racers. This is not a free-for-all event.

Long time big buck bracket racer and premier Top Dragster/Quick Rod stand out Donny “Hollywood” Urban is promoting this race along with assistance from former IHRA World and Divisional Champion Danny Waters, Jr, and is excited to bring this venue to fellow IHRA sportsman racers. “We thought this would bring an extra bit of excitement to this event. I know I’ve had a great time and have enjoyed the success of winning a car in races like this in the past.”, stated Urban.

This race will be run in a 1/8 mile bracket race format and cross-talk will be used. Throttle stops will be allowed for this race. Lane choice will be decided by high card. The winner will receive the brand new American chassis (Valued at approximately $16,500.00), and the runner-up will bring home $500 for their efforts.

This is a base model American Chassis that is powder coated and has a couple of options added, including a chrome package. The car is NOT a rolling chassis, but can be transported to ARC for completion or to the winner’s choice of destination (within a reasonable location).

I've had several calls over the past couple of days asking if Donny and/or myself were planning to enter this race. The answer is "NO", were are not going to enter. This is mainly due to the fact that we are trying to get as many people to sign up as possible, and we don't think the one's promoting the race should be entered in the race. So if this may have been holding you back, don't let it. You have our word, we will not enter. If any of you have any questions, post them up or give us a call. We are only about 1/3 of the way home with the amount entries needed for this race to take place. If needed, PayPal is an option for the $399 entry fee! PM me if needed, and I'll give you the info.
