It seems that the NHRA at the Div. 2 track operators meeting is discussing having a headsup series. Possibly to include 4.70 doorcars, 4.70 dragsters, 6.00 and 7.00 for a series championship. Very encouraging. Details soon. Will keep you posted. GP
This series has been finalized and is on NHRA Div. 2 News. Dragsters are included in a separate 32 car field on a 4.70 index with a headsup tree. Check it out as participation and support for headsup seems to continue to grow.
The first event is only 11 days away. It will go down in Huntsville, AL on Apr. 12-13. Full info is available on the NHRA website under Div. II news. We're going and hope to do the whole 6 race series.
The NHRA Div. II Dixie HeadsUp series opener and first ever of its type is in the books. My Son Randy Price won the 4.70 Top Modified crown and came away with the Wally and the points lead in this new and exciting series. We ran Billy Thigpen from Ga. in the final.
