Where They Stand...Breaking Down the Huntsville Engine "KOC" Jr. Dragster 8 & 9 Class. Neely & Palmisano Look to Dethrone Core.

As the Huntsville Engine "King of the Coast" Bracket Series Heads into the final three events of 2009, the Jr. Dragster 8 & 9 Points Championship is set to come down to the wire. Reigning Champion Jackson Core of Crowley, LA sits in the top spot with a total of 21 with five final rounds and with three wins on the '09 campaign. In 2008 Core only had to deal with one racer to take the Championship, but in 2009 Core is in a tight spot with two racers trying to dethrone Core of his title. The first of which is 2nd generation driver Landon Neely (son of Super Gas Racer Wes Neely) from around the Jackson, MS area and the second is Trevor Palmisano of Bell Chase, LA. Both are at the heels for Core as both have 20 points thus far. Like Core both Neely and Palmisano have been to five "KOC" Finals in 2009 with Palmisano taking home one WIN and Neely with four WINS. Holly Martin, Lamule Oumbre and Devin Anthony round out the ranks of the 8 & 9 Jr. Dragster "KOC" Division. Who will WIN the highly coveted Huntsville Engine "KOC" Championship no one knows, but one thing is for sure the run for the Championship will come down to the last race of the last event. The Staff of the Huntsville Engine "King of the Coast" Series Wishes all three racers the best of luck and may the best racer win. Whether it be Core, Palmisano or Neely Winning the Championship all three gentlemen will represent the "KOC" as true Champions.
