Huntsville Engine "King of the Coast" Series Hits Home Stretch with Event 6 Just Around the Corner

The Huntsville Engine "King of the Coast" Bracket Series returns to action with
Event 6 of 7 slated for Sept. 19 & 20 at Gulfport Dragway in Gulfport, MS. As the 2009
season comes to an end, the points championships for the coveted KOC Crown heads into
Event 6 with all categories still up for grabs. KOC Racers Joe Boone, Mike Barnett, Timmy
Fiearamusca, Brandan Allen, and Landon Neely lead their respected classes but not without
tons of hungry KOC racers on their heels trying to wrestle away the points championship
crown. "The Pro Electronics Class is still wide open for anyone to take, but Joe
(Boone) of Hattiesburg, MS is in the prime spot now with a four round lead over David
(Reynolds) of Petal, MS. With two events left, it is still wide open for anyone to take.
Put it in this perspective, there are up to 20 points available to a racer to earn during
an "KOC" Event weekend. So in essense a four round lead has no room for error
as we have 22 racers that are within 20 points of the lead and 8 of the 22 are within 10
rounds of points leader Joe Boone.", Gaylon Rolison of the "KOC" Series
explained. "It always comes down to the last race of the last event of the
year", Rolison added.

The Pro Footbrake Class has Mike Barnett of Columbia, MS taking an eight round lead over
"KOC" heavy hitter Scott Taylor of Petal, MS into the KOC Event 6. Taylor
narrowed the gap to 5 rounds entering "KOC" Event 5 but Taylor lost ground when
Barnett made it to the the Quarter-Finals on Sunday. "Mike is a veteran racer that has tons of
experience. Scott has his work cut out for him to try reel Mike in.", Rolison
stated. Rookie "KOC" Pro Footbrake Racer Timmy Fieramusca holds down the 3rd spot trialing
Barnett by 15 rounds. "Once again someone like Timmy who has the ability to put up a
15 point weekend and the points picture can change in the matter of a weekend of
racing", Rolison explained. Aaron Hill of Gulfport, MS, and Reid Mocherman of
Slidell, LA round out the Top 5 in Pro Footbrake. "Aaron has shown at past
"KOC" races when he is set on kill, he can accumulate those valuable
"KOC" points by the handful, and Reid what can you say about this guy? The two
time Pro Footbrake "KOC" Champion missed the first events in 2009 and finds a
way to get into the top tier of the "KOC" Points Chase.", Rolison stated.

The Jr. Dragster 13-17 Points Chase is in a dead heat as Back to Back "KOC" Jr.
Dragster Champ Timmy Fieramusca of Kenner, LA holds a slim one point lead over veteran
Jr. Dragster racer Alex Tritt of Picayune, MS. Fieramusca took the points lead at
"KOC" Event 5 when Timmy put up six points in route to the WIN on Sunday while
Tritt added 4 points to his total. Kristen Johnson of Brandon, MS has both Tritt and
Fieramusca in her sights as she sits in the third spot only trailing Fieramusca by three
rounds and reigning "KOC" Jr. Dragster 10-12 Champion Joe Hidalgo III occupies
the fourth sport five rounds behind Fieramusca. "Whoever Wins this deal will be well
deserving of the Championship because all four drivers are at the top of their game right
now and are extremely talented racers.", Rolison stated.

Brandan Allen of Poplarville, MS has a strangle hold on the "KOC" Jr. Dragster
10-12 Championship holding a ten round lead over former KOC Champions Codie Nye of
Madisonville, LA and Blaine Stewart of Angie, LA. "I have this gut feeling that Nye
and Stewart are going to make a late run at the points title and give Brandan something
to think about.", Rolison explained.

The Jr. Dragster 8&9 chase for the points championship has three gentlemen in the hunt.
Landon Neely of Florence, MS holds a single round lead over reigning KOC Jr. 8&9 Champion
Jackson Core of Crowley, LA and three round lead over Trevor Palmisano of Belle Chase,
LA. "These guys have run each other all year long and just keep getting better and
better. You are only good as your competition and these three racers are some of the best
around....bar none", Rolison explained.

With all the points battles going on, the Huntsville Engine "KOC" Series heats
up as we go into the second to last event of the year. There are sure to be lots of
nervous energy heading into the race weekend. "Our car counts have been strong all
year as we average around 180-200 entries. Racers deserve a great place and atmosphere to
compete not to mention the exposure that they rarely get. That is the mission of the
"KOC" Series. "It is fairly simple, provide a great atmosphere and provide
great customer service to the racers and fans and they will return", Rolison
commented.

The "KOC" Series is never short in recognizing it's sponsors especially
"KOC" title sponsor Huntsville Engine and Performance. "The guys at
Huntsville Engine have supported the KOC for three years now and we are gratefull for
that. They make the "KOC" Series possible." Rolison stated. Rolison also
thanked BTE, Figspeed.com, Nitro-Plate, J-Mark RaceCars, Wade's Tire Barn and
dragcoverage.com for their support.
