If I pre stage and then my opponent pre stages and then stages is this considered ok? I thought that would be double bulbing but someone told me it's not. Do you consider it ok or uncourteous?

In my opinion, once both of you are prestaged, someone has to stage first.
Normally, "double bulbing" is when someone lights both before you are prestaged. Tony Barnett 897B |

All's fair in war and bracket racing!
Fair maybe, but not necessarily sportsmanlike. If you have your own routine, it doesn't matter what the other racer does......when someone double bulbs me, they have a REAL LONG wait coming. I'll dink around after the burnout, then creep ever so slowly toward the pre-stage beam, once in pre-stage, I start counting in my head, and take a couple of extra "clean out" throttle raps, then bump in REAL slow. If the other racer has been particularly obnoxious about double bulbing, I'll even shut my car off behind the line and act like I'm having difficulties, whatever it takes to make sure that the other racer has plenty of time to sit and think about it. Just pay attention to the starter, so you don't irritate them, and let your conscience be your guide. goob- LOVES starting line games, bring your best! Didn't know you could Shut down the car, If I ever get double bulbed I'll hop out and check the tire pressures one more time.
