Got a 92 S-Blazer 4.3 cpi v-6. Was having a lot of fun with it but now am bumping the 5500 factory rev-limit. Have been told it's in the PROM (chip) and then told it's in the ECM. Running 15 teens but could get 14's if I could get 6k-6200. Anybody?

RLM,
Not sure if you were looking for a smart@ss response, or not. This could be interpreted as one, but is not intended to be.
On your 92, I believe the PROM is actually located INSIDE of the ECM. I would guess Hypertech & others make a chip for your ride.
As for your ET's - I seriously doubt spinning that 4.3 to 6K will get you any quicker timeslips. Shoot, I'd bet it would run quicker shifting at 4500 RPM than it will at 5500!! (Could be wrong, but I'd think exhaust, headwork, aftermarket intake & fuel systems would be needed to push your peak power above 5K

It is a removable E-Prom inside the ECM....
No big deal.

I have a Superchip part #8938-A, see if that is anything you can use, you can have it priced right.
Application is listed as 89 S Series with 4.3 on the box.

I know that removing the fan and clutch is good for .3 on one of them trucks.....replaced with an electric fan, that might be the cheapest .3 you'll ever find.

I agree though that you may not pick up much from extra RPM's, but you never know.

goob@perfectrun.com holla if you want this thing.

goob- cheatin' bastage is hitting a downtrack stutter chip!!!!! Big Grin Wink Cool
