HAve 81 Camaro. Frame connectors, Multi leaf springs with Traction bars underfront spring eyes. 1.5 degrees pinion angle. 50/50 lakewood shocks with 90/10 in front. Car runs 6.80 1/8 mile with lots of wheel hop. Any suggestions?
i got a 79 camaro, stock leaf springs, bolt in frame connectors, slide a link traction bars, stock shocks up front, air shocks in back (I didint put those there jus so you know) and about a 250 horse engine and it dont wheel hop at all, on a good day runs 8.7 in the 8th with 373 gears, i hope that helps some
Thanks for info Daniel. No help though. Had a smaller motor in car and it ran 7.90 with no wheel hop. Installed bigger motor and now have wheel hop.Thats always the case though when u go faster, something else has to be adjusted.
maybe Daniel. Made some changes going see if they helped tommarow. Hey you the guy with white Camaro I saw at Gulfport awile back? U were parked by the Consesion stand changing out ur tires.
yep that would be me...used to drive to the track, change tires, and readjust the traction bars...but in a little while my uncle is gonna backhalf the car for me
You need more pinion angle, and less gap on the front bar snubbers, or go to a solid bolt instead of the rubber snubbers. Go 5 to 7 degrees negative (front of pinion down) on the pinion angle.

Thanks, Added pinion angle, installed bolts and tightened up. Also loosened front end. Now it's hooking for 5 feet, unloading and spinning. Gonna cut out some front spring and take off some front end weight. Still had 1.44 60' Lookin for 1.38
Mike84z28 Hey daniel you goin to Gulfport this saturday?
