HAve 81 Camaro. Frame connectors, Multi leaf springs with Traction bars underfront spring eyes. 1.5 degrees pinion angle. 50/50 lakewood shocks with 90/10 in front. Car runs 6.80 1/8 mile with lots of wheel hop. Any suggestions?

i got a 79 camaro, stock leaf springs, bolt in frame connectors, slide a link traction bars, stock shocks up front, air shocks in back (I didint put those there jus so you know) and about a 250 horse engine and it dont wheel hop at all, on a good day runs 8.7 in the 8th with 373 gears, i hope that helps some

Thanks for info Daniel. No help though. Had a smaller motor in car and it ran 7.90 with no wheel hop. Installed bigger motor and now have wheel hop.Thats always the case though when u go faster, something else has to be adjusted.

maybe Daniel. Made some changes going see if they helped tommarow. Hey you the guy with white Camaro I saw at Gulfport awile back? U were parked by the Consesion stand changing out ur tires.

yep that would be me...used to drive to the track, change tires, and readjust the traction bars...but in a little while my uncle is gonna backhalf the car for me

You need more pinion angle, and less gap on the front bar snubbers, or go to a solid bolt instead of the rubber snubbers.
Go 5 to 7 degrees negative (front of pinion down) on the pinion angle.

Thanks, Added pinion angle, installed bolts and tightened up. Also loosened front end. Now it's hooking for 5 feet, unloading and spinning. Gonna cut out some front spring and take off some front end weight. Still had 1.44 60' Lookin for 1.38
