I am going to take my afr 227's off my 434 and going to get a different set of heads for it, they 227s are the 70% cnc'd should I just get a set of full ported 100% cnc'd 227's or is there a really good 23 degree head that would be good for a big inch small block.

thanks
David

I think those are about as good as it gets in the 23 degree stuff David.
Mike Stark down here at CFM Performance does some real good porting work, maybe he could help you look at something else?
I think you can find him on the web....

Well, to tell you the truth, the 2003 auction was a total flop, it will be back next year, my main problem with the deal last year (2003) was the total auction format, no swap meet or private sales at all.
I'm not an auction kind of guy.
The parts were mostly circle track type stuff also.

I think Mike could probably point you toward a sheet metal intake, it's tough shopping for heads, I think these days the best bet is to get the castings of your choice and have them built by your favorite machinist.
Too much to risk on "so-so" parts used in "out of the box" and used stuff.
I regret now ever using those Track 1's without having solid knowledge of the parts and number of runs, it cost me.

You all set to run the season up at Osceola, or are you guys travelling a lot this season?

I'm still up in the air about the M-D program, hoping to see some changes, and B-H has dropped the Memorial Day Big Bucks Bash.......
