ok guys, I'm new to using transbrakes and delay boxes, my question is if you guys have ever had a transbrake suddenly start releasing slower. I normally have .980 in my box, this past weekend all I could cut was a .550 or so, after 4 passes I finally rolled .045 out of the box and redlithted with a .496. I've had .980 in for about 4 months and I'm usually, 530 to 500, sometimes a red sometimes worse than 530's but never as bad as this. I only had 4 hours sleep the night before, what do ya think, me or the brake or the box? Also, is it bad to stall up the converter before engagine the brake?

This is Lucas Bendall from HI TECH racing converters, I get calls all the time about transbrake release. It can be several things in the valvebody to make the release slow down, I have an in house transbrake dyno and can check the release times on any powerglide brake. People would be surprised at how inconsistant some transbreaks are. Give me a call @ 256 565 3496 or check me out at WWW.HITECHTORQUE.COM
