Jet Dragster sets New Records at I.R.R.

Oct. 18, '07. Records were fallen at Immokalee Regional Raceway this past weekend as Jessie (The Queen of Diamonds) Harris rolled into Immokalee in her Hanna Motorsports owned Jet Dragster taking on Lou (The Terminator) Perraria in his Brazilian Boys owned Jet Dragster. It was scheduled for the best out of 3 races and what a crowd pleaser it was. In the first round Lou leaving early turned on the red light but that didn’t slow either one down in the least bit giving the crowd a great show as Jessie setting a new track record running a 3.64 ET at 221MPH. The second round was a lot closer race as Jessie, once again, breaking another track record running a 3.59ET at 222MPH setting both ET and MPH record for Immokalee while Lou right behind her running a 3.66 ET at 219MPH for his second loss of the night. The third round was just for bragging rights and Jesse once took the win and bragging rights for the night. Also on the venue I.R.R brought out the Big Dog Joe (Pepe) Urban in his 16000 horse power Jet Semi. Along with the couple exhibition runs by the Jet Semi truck Immokalee owner Ralph Hester decide to burn down the old out house, literally burn it down. They backed the 16000 horse power Jet Semi up near the Out house and hit the after burners engulfing the entire out house in flames. We can’t forget in between rounds the legendary Cool Bus, riding a wheelie the entire eight mile track, driven by Ken Nelson.

Immokalee also hosted a big money race paying $1000 for Combo and Sportsman. In the first final round of the night it was 2007 Track Champion Tom Booher taking on Dan Vickery. Booher got the win running a 6.62 ET on a 6.63 dial with a .523 RT while Vickery ran a 6.94 ET on a 6.96 dial with a .522 RT for runner up.

In the Combo class final round it was Mike Ferraro taking on Mick Rice. Ferraro got this win along with a few earlier rounds, running Dead On (4.78) with a .509 RT while Mick ran a 5.33 ET on a 5.31 dial with a .518 RT for runner up.

In the Jr. Dragster Class final round it was Bradley Snowball taking on Samantha Leavy. Snowball got the win as Samantha leaving too early (.456) turned on the red light. Both drivers still running it out with Snowball running a 8.40 ET on a 8.37 dial with a .531 RT while Leavy ran a 7.93 ET on a 7.94 dial for runner up.
